I may just be the person for the job! I have been learning all about web development and virtual assistant services since I left my special education teacher position in June 2022.

I needed a change. I needed to learn new skills; to have more flexibility and availability to be who I am (me, wife, mother, friend). I joined some programs, took some courses, met some awesome people who helped show me and support me on my way and thus, Purple Lotus Solutions was born.

I like the color purple, cows, reading, hiking, volunteering at my kids school, going to the beach, and doing paint by number kits. Not necessarily in that order. I am happily married (17 years!) with two children, two dogs, a pet rat, some fish, a whole lotta love and our fair share of somewhat controlled chaos as well.

Why Purple Lotus?

And why might you find random purple cows throughout my site?

Listen, sometimes I get an idea and there is no changing my mind. Purple is my favorite color and aside from dogs, cows are one of my most favorite animals. I have been through some major growth in the last couple of years and I liken the growth and change to that of a lotus which only grows in mud (and slowly at that).

So, I wanted (needed?) a name that was unique to me. I am quirky and human, I am a helper, I am ambitious and probably more stubborn than I’d willingly admit.

I am a purple lotus.

My favorite drink is water and favorite food is tacos (every night is Taco Tuesday!).

A Knight’s Tale is my all-time favorite movie and I am here to tell you that any human can change their stars.
I can’t possibly bring myself to choose a favorite song or artist or album. There are simply too many!
I have several tattoos but two of my favorites are of my loved ones writings. Their exact words were copied onto my skin by the tattoo artist.
I don’t want to trick anyone; I am not the cook in my family. My amazing husband is! However, one thing that I do like to make is a variation of OG’s Zuppa Tuscana. I don’t even like soup myself (I’m not really a soup person) but it brings my husband joy and that is all that matters.
Until a few years ago I would have sworn that the only vacation destination was a beach. And while the beach does truly remain one of my favorite happy places, I have grown to appreciate the quiet majesty of the mountains. I may even consider camping. Err, or glamping.
